ABOUT THE MAGAZINE

Musicadian is a completely self-run independent magazine, which was set up in early 2005 by Clarissa Linnitt after a noticeable amount of talent started to emerge in Orcadian bands. The first issue was a trial and simply took a look back through the highlights of music in 2004, which included contributions from friends. After its considerable success, another issue was published three months later, this one including various interviews along with articles and 'usual' features such as CD/gig reviews, a 'history of' feature, a wordsearch and news columns. To date, there have only been a few published issues due to availability of time, but following a move down to Brighton, the UK's heart of music, the magazine is making a comeback and will be available to buy online as well as being stocked in local (and maybe even national) stores.

So who am I?

I'm Clarissa, probably better known as Clazz. Here's a little bit of information about me - for anyone who really cares!

Age: 18
Lives: Uckfield, East Sussex (14 miles north of Brighton)
Favourite magazines: Rock Sound, The Fly, Black Velvet Magazine.

Loves: Busted (oh, I'm losing my credibility already), Johnny Panic, Green Day, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Billy Talent, Biffy Clyro, The Rocket Summer, The Clash, Matt Willis, Arctic Monkeys, Evanescence (until they released The Open Door), Good Charlotte (let's forget about the Chronicles album...), Foo Fighters, Brigade, AC/DC, Nirvana, Less Than Jake, Jimmy Eat World, Something Corporate, Faber Drive, Sugarcult, rock music with piano, being at gigs, writing about bands, writing in general, interviewing bands, promoting music, playing guitar, tinkering on the piano every now and then.

Hates: Lily Allen, Lady Sovereign, Kate Nash (do you see the pattern?), most commercial hip hop, when you're at the front at a gig and even though there's absolutely no room for anyone else, someone is DETERMINED that they are important enough to break you and your friends up by shoving you aside, teenyboppers, people blowing whistles at pop gigs, people who don't give a shit about anyone else at gigs... I love gigs, really.
