How is the recording of the second album coming along? Have you finished writing it?
We’ve got about 12 songs done and are still working on a couple more. It’s all coming along really well. We’ll hopefully be going into the studio to record in the next few months.
What can we expect from the new CD - will it have a similar sound to that of Actions or are you going to explore new areas?
There’ll be hints of ‘Actions’ on there. We’ve rocked up a little bit and picked up the pace in a couple of songs. We’ve also tried a few new things. We’ve had a lot of fun writing this album.
You've been all over the place - Belgium, a few cities in Japan and Australia... where have been your favourite places to visit? And where do you think has the best audiences?
Obviously Japan and Australia were amazing. It was an awesome new experience for all of us. The crowds in Japan were out of this world. They’d sing along to songs that they hadn’t even heard before. One of my favourite places to play is still ‘The Charlotte’ in our hometown (Leicester). It’s always a drunken mess!
Your extensive touring has been noted on various websites, and you've toured with loads of great bands - Funeral For A Friend, Fall Out Boy and Reel Big Fish just to name a few. Tell us some entertaining touring tales.
There’s too many, but memories are too vague. Lets just say they all involve bad ideas, alcohol, getting naked, hostages, lock picking, stolen vehicles, cities we’re not allowed in anymore and on the odd occasion, animals.
Buy the next issue to read about what they'd be doing if they weren't in music, what they think of the current emo, and what it was like working with Hundred Reasons' guitarist Larry Hibbitt.
