Who do I like? Who do I hate? Who's a bit controversial that I should voice an opinion on? Let's get started.
AVRIL LAVIGNE
Hmmmm. I enjoyed her first two albums and I like her style, but I hate her attitude, I hate her voice and I hatehatehate how fake she is. With her first album especially, she always insisted that she wrote it herself at sixteen, yet the credits say otherwise. Who are we to believe? She also claims she's great on guitar - maybe you could prove that to us by playing it live, Avril. Or you know, at least learn to sing if you're not going to bother playing an instrument. And then there's her maturity issues. The first album showed her as mature for the age she was, the second album was far more matured and serious. And on the third, it's full-blown school-girl brat. Just... just what the fuck?
CHRISTINA AGUILERA
To be honest... I remember when she first hit the music scene, I used to think she was just a slut trying to be as successful as Britney Spears. But really, she deserves to be so much more successful than Britney. She's got some fantastic songs, she's a brilliant dancer and her voice is fucking amazing. And she writes her own songs, which puts her one up against Britney anyway. I just have such huge respect for her, I don't like a tremendous amount of her music but she is really incredible.
THE DARKNESS
Haha. I actually loved them. Their first album, at least. They were a bit tongue-in-cheek, and they never wanted to be taken too seriously. They were a bit of fun, bringing comedy back into rock, and I personally think their songs are brilliant. I can also stand the voice, although Justin Hawkins turned into a royal twat, didn't he?
MIKA
ACTUALLY. LOVE HIM. Srsly. Loads of people hate his voice, and I can absolutely see why, but I don't mind it at all, and his songs are so bouncy and fun. I just think he's fantastic!
MCFLY
A lot of people know how I feel about them. Their attitudes annoy me, and the (former) record company is/was using Busted to make McFly popular. I don't mind them, I like a few songs - I adore No Worries, and I could listen to We Are The Young on repeat - but I just find them a little uninspiring and boring. Tom's voice SUCKS. They're great musicians though, I have respect for them, and I REALLY don't hate them as much as people think.
MILEY CYRUS
Hahaha. I really don't know what to say. It's sad, but I can easily see her going the way Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have gone. However, I love some of her music, I'm afraid.
SON OF DORK
Ooooooooo. Controversiaaaal. The basic line is: they're painfully average. I moderately enjoy listening to their album. I really do enjoy listening to three of their songs, those being Eddie's Song, Party's Over and We're Not Alone. But James made so many mistakes and was too optimistic to the point that he became arrogant, which immediately puts them down a few notches. It's a shame, but what can you do?
POP PUNK
Yes, we know it's not real punk. It's fun, bouncy and subjectively good. Get over it, elitists.
METAL MUSIC
In my opinion, metal music sees brilliant musicians go to waste. 'Nuff said.
